Education Seminar succeffuly finished



Education seminar for  the transition of education system in the Czech republic  was successfully finished  in Mae Sot on Sept 13 to 15 2010. That seminar was organized by BMTA and NLD (LA) . Implemented by TTBT and PIN .
Around 40 participants from 31 CBOs and organizations.

That three days gneta  are as follow;
Day 1
9:00 – 10:00
Welcome word by organizers (PIN, Thein Lwin)
Introduction of lecturers and participants, participants´ ideas and expectations of the overall seminar (aims, content) – through an activity
Lecturer communication, setting of the rules of the seminar

10:00 – 10:45
Opening activity – identifying current problems and opportunities of the current situation of education in Burma, defining the aims of future education reform in Burma

10:45-11:00 break

11:00 – 12:00
Education reforms in the Czech Republic
– broader historical and political context
– state-level perspective – aims, obstacles

12:00 – 13:00 – lunch break

13:00 – 14:45
Education reforms in the Czech Republic
– state-level perspective – aims, obstacles

14:45 – 15:00 break

15:00 – 15:45
Education reforms in the Czech Republic
– NGO-level perspective

15:45 – 16:30
Joint thinking and reflection of aims and formulating recommendations for reforms in Burma

Day 2

A short icebreaker activity
Participants´ ideas of curriculum, graduate’s profile (knowledge, skills, attitudes)

10:00-12:00
Curriculum reform in Czech Republic (state-level perspective)
– curriculum reform as an ongoing process, curriculum review, reform support system, future challenges, stakeholders of the curriculum development

12:00 – 13:00 lunch break

13:00 – 13:30
Activity on curriculum reform

13:30 – 15:15
Curriculum reform in Czech Republic: NGO-level perspective, school-level perspective
– reform support system, future challenges, stakeholders of the curriculum development

15:15-15:30 break

15:30 – 16:30
Joint thinking and discussion about how could the participants use the knowledge and experience gained from this day of the seminar
